Two brothers, one face. Shot dead straight and joined down the middle, the split portrait of Sam and Joe Simmonds shows how alike they are side by side, and how different apart.

For The Rugby Journal, the Exeter Chiefs pair went back to Teignmouth RFC, the Devon club where they first played, in the season Exeter won the Premiership and European Cup double. The portraits move through the old clubhouse and stand, past team photographs on the wall, red leather benches and rain on the windows, out to the pitch with its row of terraced houses beyond. Two professional players at home in the place that made them.
