My old man was a photographer, so similarly to the big nose and the doomed hair line, photography was a foregone conclusion for me. I love to shoot people. Having grown up in a bilingual family, travel and exploration are an integral part of Sam Bénard’s life. Speaking English, French and Spanish, Sam’s photography has a strong emphasis on people and their cultures; his linguistic skills allowing him to communicate with his subject on a more personal level, bringing him closer to them and opening doors to new and unique experiences.
For Sam photography isn’t just about capturing an image… it’s the whole creative process of having fun while exploring, connecting and all the personal experiences that are unique to working in the industry. Communication and observations are key and define his work and style as a photographer.
